Who this is for: Owners who want to stop their AnswerPath subscription. Time: 2–5 minutes.
Cancels your paid AnswerPath subscription. You'll keep access through the end of your current billing period and then lose access to drafting features.
Only the owner can cancel. Admins and members cannot.
AnswerPath doesn't currently offer a "pause subscription" option. If you want to stop charges but keep your account, the closest options are to cancel (and resubscribe later when you come back) or to contact support to discuss alternatives. If you have questions, please contact Support via the chat widget or [email protected]
In the sidebar footer, click Settings.
Go to the Billing page.
On the Current Plan card, click Manage Subscription.
In our secure payment portal, look for the cancel option.
Confirm the cancellation.
You'll receive a cancellation confirmation email from the payment provider. Your Current Plan card in AnswerPath will continue to show the plan until your billing period ends, at which point access is removed.
Cancelling doesn't immediately delete your data:
Your documents remain in the Context Hub for your remaining access period so you can export anything you need.
Your saved Q&A pairs remain in the Answer Bank and inside their projects.
Your projects remain with their Q&A pairs.
Before the cancellation takes effect, grab anything you need:
Export each project you care about to Excel (.xlsx) or Word (.docx) — see Export final answers for QuickTurn, or open a project and use Export Project.
Download any documents you uploaded to the Context Hub that you don't already have copies of.
Download invoices via View Invoices if your finance team needs them.
After access ends, if you sign back in, you'll see a limited view and will need to re-subscribe to keep drafting.
Before cancelling, consider whether one of these fits better:
Downgrade. Moving Professional → Solo keeps your account alive at a lower limit. See Upgrade or change plan.
Ask for a trial extension. If you're mid-evaluation and ran out of time, support can usually help — see Contact support.
Tell support why. If AnswerPath isn't working for a specific reason, support would rather hear it than lose you. Your feedback often unlocks a fix or a different plan.
You still have access through the end of the billing period.
Renewal charges stop.
You can resubscribe any time before or after access ends via Manage Subscription on the Billing page. Your data is preserved for a retention window — if you're coming back months later, check with support first to confirm your documents and answers are still available.
Cancel before you're billed, not after. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, not retroactively — the provider won't refund a charge that already happened.
Let teammates know. A cancellation affects everyone on the account. Give your team at least a few days' heads-up so they can save anything they need.
Export is free insurance. Even if you're sure you're cancelling, a 2-minute export is a nice safety net.
